Located right next to the M23, APH Park & Ride with EV Charging is easily reached by road from all directions. With transfers to the airport terminals running every 10-15 minutes, you can just drop your car off and hop onto the next shuttle bus. The journey time to the terminals is 10-12 minutes. And when you return from your travels, your vehicle will have been charged and be ready for your journey home.

The APH Park & Ride with Electric Vehicle Charging car park at Gatwick is a fully secure, state-of-the-art parking facility. Purpose-built with barrier-controlled entry, CCTV, high-tech sensors, electric vehicle charging points and security fencing, the car park is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you can be sure of a friendly welcome whatever time you arrive. If you're looking for a convenient, secure, and affordable way to park at Gatwick Airport, then the APH Gatwick Park and Ride service is the perfect option for you.

Electric Vehicle Charging - 

We will charge your vehicle for you once you have dropped it off, so there is no need for you to wait around. Just make sure you bring your own charging cable and any other relevant equipment.

Note that we will complete the EV charging process only once, either on or shortly after your arrival to the car park, and any loss of charge thereafter will not be topped up upon collection. Your vehicle will be charged to the value you have pre-purchased only (which may not result in your car registering fully charged). It should be left in valet mode, if applicable, and must arrive at the car park with a minimum charge of 5% to avoid any risk of the battery draining.

Our fully insured drivers will move your car from charging point to a secure parking bay for the duration of your trip and will bring it back to the Reception area for you to collect upon your return.

Charging is available at either 30kW or 60kW.

I am a regular user of APH Gatwick, always seamless, no problems, very quick transport to and from airport. They instructed electric charging recently, of which I use every time, which saves me around an hour, either on arrival, to dropping the car off or when when we return. Maybe introduce an add on to clean the car package in with the parking & charging.

Another great experience using APH! Have used APH a number of times now and wouldn’t use another parking service. The bus transfer is very efficient both dropping off and picking up. I used the EV parking this time and returned home with enough charge to get me home.

The parking was very smooth on both entry and exit- however I paid for electric charging and our car was on around the 30/35% mark on drop off- they charged it the same morning but not fully, we can see it on the cars app and was only charged to 58% which it was still on when we collected it. Waste of money paying the extra for the charge when there is charging facilities around the corner. Only other negative is the bus driver we had for transfer (was both same guy) drove like he’d stole the bus, which resulted in a child being sick.

Directions

From the M23:

Leave at Junction 10 (East Grinstead).

If Southbound, take the 1st exit on the roundabout (A264 - Copthorne Way).

OR

If Northbound, take the 3rd exit on the roundabout (A264 - Copthorne Way).

THEN:

  1. Head straight over the first roundabout (2nd exit).
  2. At the next roundabout take the 4th exit (A2220) signposted Maidenbower.
  3. Continue on the A2220 following signs to APH Parking Centre.
  4. Drive past the Texaco Petrol Station (some SatNavs might direct you here).
  5. After another 0.25 miles turn right into Crawley Garden Centre. You'll see an APH entrance sign on your right.
  6. Follow APH signs to the car park check-in area.

Arrival instructions

Arriving at APH Park & Ride with EV Charging couldn’t be easier:

  1. Drive through the automated barrier and follow the road markings to the arrival bays.
  2. Check in at Reception. Your car will be charged and then moved to a secure parking bay by a fully trained and insured valet driver.
  3. Take the next transfer bus to the airport terminal.

Please ensure you allow sufficient time to complete your vehicle check-in and transfer to the terminal. You do not need to allow time for your vehicle to be charged; this will be done for you while you head to check in for your flight.

Return instructions

Returning to collect your car is just as easy:

  1. Once you have cleared Customs, follow the signs to the transfer bus stop and take the next transfer bus to the APH Car Park.
  2. Collect your keys from Reception and pick up your car, which will have been charged for you.

There are staff on hand 24 hours a day, if you need any assistance

Important information

Maximum vehicle height: 2.4m. Trailers are not accepted.

APH will accept any vehicle that can fit into a standard parking bay and can be driven on a standard driving licence.

APH are unable to transport bikes, surf/windsurfing boards or items of a similar size on their transfer coaches. Snowboards/skis are acceptable.

Your car must arrive at the car park with at least 5% vehicle charge and you must supply your own charging lead. Your vehicle will be charged to the value you have pre-purchased only (which may not result in your car registering fully charged).

With the latest computer-controlled digital CCTV and over 120 camera locations covering the entire car park, barrier-controlled entry and exit systems and a floodlit site, the APH Gatwick parking team can care for vehicles throughout the day and night – 365 days a year. 

Disabled facilities

Our buses have wheelchair facilities and staff are happy to help with any carrying of luggage.
If you require assistance, press the button at the barrier in the canopy and a member of the customer service team will be more than happy to help.
Futhermore, disabled customers can request at check in that their car be parked close to reception upon return to the car park.

Transfer details

APH Gatwick Park and Ride customers benefit from regular transfers to both terminals. APH shuttles run every 10-15 minutes, average transfer time is 10-12 minutes to the airport.

Returns from both North and South Terminal to the APH car park run at similar intervals, and also operate both dual terminal and dedicated terminal transfers.

Full details of the easy-to-find collection points will be issued to you before your departure.

      • You can cancel or change your booking anytime before your parking period begins without any hassle or charges.
    2. Parking Period:
      • Your parking period starts at the pre-booked arrival time you select during your reservation.
    3. Important to Note:
      • If you don’t cancel or update your booking before your arrival time, we’ll need to charge you for the full booking. Also, please be aware that we can’t offer refunds if you return earlier than planned.
    4. Booking Adjustments:
      • If you make changes to your booking and the price changes, we’ll either charge or refund the difference based on the adjustments.
